Erdödy Castle and Park

A castle from 1776 with a park laid out in the 19th century and protected in 1962 for its native and exotic plant species. Today the castle houses a hospital.

Erdödy Castle, built in 1776, is the legacy of the famous and once highly influential family of the same name. In the 19th century a park with numerous native and exotic plant species was laid out around the castle; in 1962 it was protected as a monument of landscape architecture.

The Erdödy family left the castle in 1923, after which it was converted into a hospital that still operates there today. The park is open for walks.
